We welcome
pilots AND anyone else who would like to give back to the
community! You don’t have to be a pilot to join The Civil
Air Patrol! CAP
offers many avenues of volunteer service, including Emergency
Services, Cadet Programs, and Aerospace Education. We also need
volunteers for community outreach, media relations and
administrative responsibilities.
For a good
ongoing sense of what CAP does throughout the country, you can check
out each month’s edition of The
Civil Air Patrol News,
CAP's monthly newspaper.

Long
Beach Senior Squadron 150 is one of the largest units in the state of
California. We are
completely comprised of adult members.
Our primary focus is Air Search and Rescue, as the majority
of our members are pilots, many of whom own their aircraft and
donate their services so “That Others May Live.”
Squadron
150 is active in the role CAP plays in Search and Rescue, Homeland Security,
and Disaster Relief operations. We provide air and ground
transportation, and an extensive communications network. We fly
disaster relief officials to remote locations, and support local,
state and national disaster relief organizations with manpower and
leadership. For
example, our members participated in the disaster relief efforts
after the Northridge Earthquake, in many roles on and after 9/11,
and assisted local authorities after Hurricane Katrina.
